Kristie M. Kawakami Wong is a senior associate in the
firm’s Hawaii office. Ms. Kawakami Wong graduated cum laude
from the University of California, Irvine in 1995 with
a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. She received
her Juris Doctorate degree from Southwestern University
School of Law in 1998, where she served on the Southwestern
Law Review and graduated magna cum laude.
Ms. Kawakami Wong was admitted to the California State
Bar in 1998 and has also been a member of the Hawaii State
Bar since 2003.
Ms. Kawakami Wong assisted
in opening the Hawaii office and was instrumental in expanding
the firms clientele to Hawaii, representing recreational
operators in such areas as surfing, parasailing, jet skiing,
horseback riding and bicycling. Ms. Kawakami Wong has also
represented clients in Hawaii's complex asbestos litigation
and continues to also handle complex law and motion and
appellate matters for the firms California and Hawaii cases.
She serves as an arbitrator in Hawaii's Court Annexed Arbitration
Program.
