Douglas S. de Heras received
his undergraduate degree from UCLA in 1992, where he was
a member of the UCLA Bruins Golf Team. Doug received his
law degree from the University of Southern California in
1996 and is a member of the State Bar of California, having
been admitted to practice in several U.S. District Courts
in California, the United States Court of Appeals for the
Ninth Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Mr. de Heras represents a broad range of clients in all
aspects of complex litigation, including trial and appeals,
with emphasis on general and professional liability matters
involving healthcare providers and physicians, hospitals,
nursing and residential care, premises, golf courses, products,
and transportation. He also has extensive experience in
trusts and probate, trust administration and estate planning,
insurance and contractual matters, real estate and commercial
matters, enforcement of judgment and business litigation.
Mr. de Heras has written a number of appellate briefs and
argued before the California Court of Appeals and the United
States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Additionally,
he has tried multiple jury trials to defense verdict and
received many binding arbitration awards in favor of his
clients.
