J. Andrew Branam graduated from San Diego State University
with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Political Science
in 2001. Thereafter, he attended the University of San
Diego School of Law where he received his Juris Doctorate
degree in 2004. He was admitted to the California State
Bar in November of 2004.
Mr.
Branam joined Prindle, Amaro, Goetz, Hillyard, Barnes & Reinholtz
LLP in January 2005 as an associate attorney and was named
a partner in January 2011. Since joining
the firm, he has been actively involved with the workers
compensation and subrogation departments in representing
defendants throughout the state of California before the
WCAB and Superior Court. Mr. Branam’s experience with workers
compensation litigation includes extensive trial work before
the WCAB including large exposure cases. He has handled
litigation involving death and life pension exposure, penalties,
discrimination claims pursuant to Labor Code section 132(a),
serious and willful misconduct claims, rehabilitation unit
hearings, appeals from determinations of the rehabilitation
unit and petitions for reconsideration.
